I copped a Fleck like a late fuccboi and the damn thing fits like a summer dress even though I sized down from my standard 38/40r to 37r and pulled in the drawstrings.
What size should I be getting if I'm a ~5'9" manlet?

Isn't the sizing your height/your chest measurement?
Milsurplus in general is made pretty hueg because you need to be able to layer shit under and you need to be able to move without effort in the garments, so more than often you want to at least size down on the chest measurements.
Just bought M88 parka recently and though my chest measures 94cm I think I sized down to parka that was marked for chest sizes 81cm-88cm and it fits pretty well as a "fashion" piece.
