Shave sides, but ask for #1 near the ears, #2 near the eye brown line, (so about 3 cm from the top of the ear line) ask them to fade it up , then #3 at the back up to the hair. Then ask for a fauxhawk look with a wave to the side, something like this but not as long, youll be able to figure it out.

Thanks. I use this cheap axe stuff. Normally I'm not a fan of anything from axe, but for some reason, it just works for me. It holds pretty well, and doesn't actually feel like there's any product in the hair. Although, now that it's getting longer, I think I might need something with a stronger hold to keep it up.

honestly it depends on how thick your hair is

front requires less thickness, you may have to thin your hair out. also, too long and it just wont work, however, front is probably the easiest hy to cut by yourself.

pic related is me, fringe down to my nose, so youll definitely have an easier/quicker time.

It's a very matte finish with a good amount of hold, so I think its a putty (he called it paste?) but im not sure, I didnt get a chance to see the label of the jar.
