What leads you to believe this? Do you have information to support this claim or are you just shitposting. Ill assume the second. Although I would agree that there seems to be a lull for most part in the fashion industry, there are still a very small but incredibly important group of people doing some really incredible stuff right now. So i would say no, it did not peak in 2007 maybe a plateau though.

Because everything ever since has been shit, and everything prior to 2006 in this century has been shit too. Imma give you an example:

>KTT

Although I would say that Jun Takahashis 2009/10 was darn good too. But overall 2007 was the best year for fashion in this millenium.

Could you please provide examples of all these designers whos best seasons were in 2007?

>> No.9172262

my personal fashion / aesthetic peaked in 2011.

Tbh I don't feel that any particular designer had their best season in 2007, but the average level was so high. Eg.

>Hedi Slimane
>Christopher Bailey
>Dries Van Noten
>Ann Demeulemeester
>Martin Margiela
>Henrik Vibskov

I meN I shit on SLP All day but I do like a lot of his designs in the early 2000s at Dior, your right though when you do the same thing over and over, year after year it reaches a point past stale.

So you post one bad fit, good on you. Fact is that Slimane was solid until he left Dior.

No trunks is right even when he was still at Dior his designs were becoming move and more carbon copies of previous seasons. Why do you keep quoting my entire response, is it to try an prove something or call me out?

Sure he didn't reinvent fashion every season, and I am not even saying that 07 was his best season. I'm just saying that 07 overall was the best season for Fashion. I believe his defile boots with a high heel and buttons was 07 or 06 - that was one of his best pieces.

Bottom line is that you can expect a designer to go in a totally other direction especially if theyre extremely succesful with what they have.

>>9172356
I didn't say he needed to reinvent himself, almost no designers do but when and hey do it usually doesnt work out. Take Rick for example he has kept a very similar look from the beginning but what he does is every season add some color, change silhouettes, use different materials, even different styling. Hedi never ever does this every season its the same old rocker look with the exact same materials with the exact same silhouettes and the exact same styling, if he does add color its usually gaudy colors that ruin the pieces. Take this picture from fw03 he was actually using different silhouettes back then along with materials and textures.

How do you people feel about the SS15?
I liked the cowboy influences but it was half that and half 60s rockstars, so again with the rock theme.

How can something completely subjective and wholly dependent on personal taste be peaked you dense nigger?

>b-but anon cool shirts and cool shoes an-and..

oh yeah? how about fuck you 2006 was the best year for fashion,
>no 2005!
>no 2004!
>no 2003!
>etc..

The only instance where your shitty theory would work is if you say "2007 was the best year for wooden sandals or 2007 was the best year for thickest coats" because you can actually measure them.

you filthy nigger.
>yes I mad
