What size did you buy and what size are your feet? Usually things like this, especially if it happens on both sides is something that occurs because you've got the wrong size shoe. If the sole bulges out like that for the threads to tear it means your pressure point is at the wrong spot. Do you have lots of space in front of your toes? Or almost nothing?

I know rick doesnt make bigger stuff so that sucks for you, but the sole seperating like that is basically the fault of a design that wasn't meant to be used for shoes bigger than 43. You can test this if you put them on and sit down on your tip toes. You'll see that the bulges will extend like a huge gaping hole

It's on both sides of each shoe. I properly sized them and they fit correctly in the toe box, with the correct amount of space between my toes and the end of the shoe, as well as no pressure or rubbing on the sides of my feet.

That's good, but doesn't change the fact that the width of the soles on the side does not proportionally increase in bigger sizes in ricks footwear. Meaning that while your shoe might fit on your 45, the width of the outside sole is the same as on a 39 (smallest male last size). Now imagine the pressure your big feet put on there compared to tiny feets.

Go to a cobbler and let him sew more than once through the original holes on the side of the sole to reinforce the sides.

OP tons of factors can go into it. I would guess sizing (even if you are being an asshole) I see you are shooting rick support an email so ask them about sizing correctly. A big size can do that, but a small size can do that as well. Your best option is to just cobble them and chalk it up to luck of the draw shit. They are just sneakers. Maybe you did some activity that just stressed a weak point. It happens with any shoes sometimes.

Rick is not the end all of quality. Those moonboots aren't worth 1000 because of quality. Most of that is brand name markup.
