How do I learn the lengths for a given haircut from a picture? Obviously, an approximate will do, cause then I can just round it to lower and wait till it gets right.

So how do I know how long the hairs are in this haircut, for example?

Ok, so basically I can ask to cut the hairs on the sides so that they barely go over the ears and show how long the hair on the back should be. But what about frontal hair and hair between the front and the sides? Those are always combed to the side or back, so how can you tell how long they are even approximately?

Look up info on Finasteride. People have had some great success but there may or may not be side effects. I rarely see people discuss the side effects so it is possible that there's a very vocal minority against the drug or it will fuck you up.

i think if you stop taking finasteride your hair just continues to fall out like before. it might fall out a bit more at first if you have taken it for a long time, as the androgen receptors in your scalp might be a little more sensitive to the sudden increase in DHT. i haven't really read much about coming off it, though.

what i've kinda realised is that people who experience negative side effects from finasteride are going to be more outspoken about them and try to deter others from taking it. why would someone who is getting on just fine from finasteride feel the need to start posting everywhere about how good it is all the time?
