Just checked out their website, seems like they used to be masters of the homage, Bell&ross, IWC etc. Now they must have branched out a bit more because that thing is unique. Not a fan of the 52mm l2l and 44mm bezel, I like watches that appear a little more round. Loving that the second hand and text match on the dial though - bet the lume looks great too.

I feel a little ripped off for the Delfin now, mechanically it's very very similar to a lot of other budget pieces. But they keep their value and Jason @ Halios can sure as hell design beautiful pieces.

Yeah they used to be apparently, till they branched out and did their own thing. I'm still keeping a watchful eye out for their Branco, easily my favorite design by them.

Don't feel ripped. You paid the price, deeming it was worthwhile to do so. It's still a lot of watch for the money and a beauty at that. I paid over 600CDN after exchange rates and customs tax for my Cerberus and still think it was more than worthwhile, even if I could have got one used for ~500.

Still waiting on getting a Steinhart OVM. Easily the best price for a 300m, ETA 2824-2 diver.

>>9107968
It probably can. If I recall, ratings are usually understated as they can do up to 50% more I think it was. I recall reading something like a 100m watch should technically be able to go up to 150m.

I've seen some reviews of it on replica watch forums. It's supposedly a really great movement. Seagull bought a whole bunch of machinery from swiss watchmakers so the quality of manufacture is beyond what you'd expect. Only issue is the 6:00 subdial. Instead of being an hours register for the chronograph, it's a 24 hour subdial slaved to the regular hour hand.
If you're willing to take it apart a little, removing the gear train for the 6:00 subdial and freezing it is a fun modding project.

>>rose gold Not even once man. Even on expensive models it's tacky.

LMAOL of your poor perception of class. Rose gold is actually the classiest of all gold colors; it's not as common and ordinary like yellow gold, not as easily confusible like white gold -although, if you like wg you should better look for platinum-, and finally, rose gold true tone is not easy to copy at all, wich is why most "fake" rose gold watches -read Armani, Michael Kors, Rossling, Hamilton, etc.-, end up looking way more orange than they should.

Pic related is a line of wacthes in wich almost everything is made out of rose gold: movement, case, dial, hands and crown are pure rose gold. How could you even think that would be tacky? Or is it that you can't afford rose gold and therefore you inmediately dismiss it out of sheer jelousy?
Grow up son.

>14.5 mm thick

there is nothing worse than thick ass watches. that reminds me of that Casio watch I bought as a teen. It was digi-analog and had a tide graph and moon phase indicator. it was 13 mm thick but since the dial was also too small so the balance point of this shit watch is fucked so it's really uncomfortable on the wrist and you look like a retard if you see that stupid faggot bulk on your sleeve.

this is why I can't tolerate a case thickness beyond 10 mm anymore.

There was really no other option than a datejust for me. I wanted a versatile watch with a solid bracelet and a screwdown crown that isn't a diver and the DJ fit the bill perfectly.

$500+ is where the fun really happens with reps.
There's a guy who does datejust franken builds with all gen parts except for case and bracelet with an ETA movement. You can get one of his builds for about $700.
There's also TC submariners which are around $500 and damn near indistinguishable from the real thing. Compared to TC watches the minor tells on my watch make it look like a piece of crap.

$250 on a rep should be the upper limit IMO.

Otherwise, if you're spending $500, or $700 like the two you mentioned, you can get incredible watches for the money. Not saying the reps aren't incredible, because you're saying they are and I'll take your word for it, but you'll have something on your wrist that is awesome in its own regard. It's not trying to be something else.

Not trying to shit on your watch because it does look good but that's my philosophy on it all. What do you say to people when they ask if it's real?

I have many questions, too many I believe...

First, I will buy a watch this end of year, with that comes my first question:

I really like Automatic movement, and have 400€ as a max budget now (maybe spend a bit more?) and have been looking at a couple of Jaguar models.

They have also Quarz watches that seem very appealing to me.

Does Jaguar offer a good automatic movement?
Is their quarz line decent?
Should I discard Quarz immediately?

I have also seen a Viceroy automatic at my local jewler, seems pretty (hope i can post a pic) but I have no idea if it is just a bad watch (the price is much lower).

Pic related, the quarz Jaguar.

Hope you can help me, thanks in advance.

Why? If he doesn't care about the purely emotional side of having a mechanical movement, there's no reason to get one over quartz. Quartz is objectively better in every single way, in functionality, durability, reliability, accuracy, cost...

If you are not "into" mechanical watch movements there's absolutely no reason to get one over quartz.
