I got very long hair. It's naturaly pretty straight. I have some layers in it. But i want it to be wilder. What do? Cut shorter layers? Bangs? Cut shorter generally? I'm too chubby atm to pull the out of bed bob off. Should i just leave it this way until my weight is down?

I guess you have a cowlick on you hairline. Do you mind posting a pic where you hold your hair back so we can see the hairline? Your best bet would be to just let the hair divide where it wants to. Otherwise it will be a constant struggle. The last resort would be to get the cowlick chemicaly relaxed.
The other option is, that you had a middlepart for a very long time. Your hair needs a while to get adapted to a new parting. Just blowdry it like you want it and after a whie it will stay and fall there naturaly.

I don't see a very prominent cowlick. But it might be that your hairline starts just at the end of one (there are bodyhair cowlicks too...). You could try to iron it as close to the scalp as possible. With a iron for hair ofcourse. Just take care to not burn you. I did once and it's still visible after half a year...

I have really thick, straight hair. The thing is, it kind of spikes/puffs out if it's short, as opposed to growing out laying down.
My sister recommended a friend of hers who is supposed to be an insanely good stylist, and so I'm going to him wednesday for a haircut.

I've tried, I've blow dried it backwards and it doesn't quite go straight back, even used leave-in conditioner to smooth it out and slicked it back with pomade or wax. Best i could do is centre part it and push each side back diagonally, its incredibly thick though and won't sit back for more than an hour or two before it turns into a mess.

I found some korean hair straightening cream on the internet that lasts for 3-4 months, would it slick back more easily if I used that then tried it?

I'm considering just cutting it shorter and trying a neat combover, but its not going to lick particularly slick with the texture of my hair
