I have this internal rule that whenever a single item over $300 I should LOVE it. They look better as sunglasses imo. I'll give it a day or two before I completely decide.

Where did you cop? Mp2's aren't really limited regardless of what OP's site might say. They've been purchasable on their site since they did that vintage thing. Actually I think all of them have been on there besides the new 505's... which you shouldn't get anyway- the original 80's 505's are pristine.

got them at a OP retailer (I live in NYC) I like them better as sunglasses. Lady said they get opticals in every now and then, but they run out quick. Sun version of the MP2 seemed to be all in stock.

Ahh, ok good. One of the regrets of my recent nyc visit was that I didn't stop in there. I only asked because there's a lot of shuckters trying to pedal limited oliver people's bullshit (sir jacks, foursome, ebay etc.)

Anyway, now that I actually look, it seems those MP2's are indeed harder to come by. I hadn't looked for them for about six months- at which time you could still purchase them online at their website. But, I know how you feel about them not fitting your face- happened to me with a pair finley's.

Wouldn't be surprised if they make certain frames seem more scarce in order to hype them.

Honestly, I'm sorta regretting a lot of past purchases lately. I've been here for a year and a half, but I still just can't seem to throw together a good fit. Seems like I'm always mixing aesthetics and end up having two different styles. I copped a pair of sk8 his, but they just seem so juvenile to me. I was wearing them today because my usual pair of beaters isn't gonna fly and I feel silly in them.
