I have an interview next week with a Cotton On store (a job is a job, I can't complain) and they told me to "dress as if I already work there". Does this mean dress fashionable or dress in similar clothes that they sell? Best way to leave an impression?

u could always visit one of their stores and see how the people working there are dressed, or check some pics online or something. Should prob not dress too formal anyways. best of luck

Slim dark jeans, plain tee or button up from Cotton On, and dark shoes.
Cotton On is basic as fuck, they aren't going to care, I had an interview there a while ago and everyone was black jeans, black tee and Vans.

ill put it this way, if hte outfit you turn up in in less than $3000, they are not going to hire you. Consider a skirt if you're a man.

it means dress like a pleb. :)

Are you a girl? You better be a girl, Cotton On rarely hires dudes.

Dress in similar sorta clothing.
The most common cotton on employee outfit i see is a flanny/shirt on top of a tee, skinny jeans, followed by mid top sneakers or desert boots
