Hey guys,
I made a thread yesterday about my undervalued item being held at the customs.

Well, I had to call the dude working there and he was super nice (almost apologizing (for what?))) but he said I'd have to pay 110euros for an item worth 265eur.

That's like 40% of the value. Am I being fined? Should I just pay for it or should I keep on battling and trying to lower the price?

pls help

have you paid the 265€already?

If you live in Europe it's perfectly normal, I would even say you're quite lucky, the VAT itself is 23% of the value + shipping, and duties themself can achieve 40-50%.
Thank you socialism.

Do you realise you are going to get arrested if you fuck around with this? Pay the fucking money and be done with it.

The OP knowingly tried to scam customs and got caught.

That's not an unusual fee. Remember they factor in the shipping cost as well as the value of the item. If you're British you can expect Parcel Force to charge you a further fee for letting you know about the customs fee. Yay.
