8946061 No.8946061 [Reply] [Original]

So guys, genuine question, what's the verdict on tucking your pants into your boots these days?

>> No.8946088

Requires tact

Easier to do if you're tall

Can look good, but so can almost anything if done properly.

>> No.8946466

When wearing tight pants, I assume your options are to either tuck them into the boot(if above the ankle) or have them bunch at the top?

>> No.8946484

>> No.8947965

On a somewhat related note, how can I get my pants to stack on top of my boots? They don't tapper all that much so it just goes over most of the boot.

>> No.8948060

>>8947965

Take all of the pants you plan on using with said boots to a tailor, have them hem them to where they're fitted neatly on top of your boots. Almost everybody you see with their boots like that does this.

>> No.8948086

kind of related question:

how many times can you roll up your pant cuffs before it becomes too much and you should just get them hemmed?

my pants right now if i want to roll them up i need to do it 5-6 times, feeling like it's a bit much

Bad unless the pant is supposed to be tucked in wherever it goes. I'm thinking of pants with "pedals" on them (like on some chinos, technical clothing). The pedals I'm referring to is the textile going all the way around the foot like some gaiters would do, see pic. If they do, most of the time it's not shocking contrary to a pair of jeans or chinos without pedals.
