Hello /fa/, I'm looking for good tapered jeans (slim looks faggy on my bigger legs). What can you recommend? Levi's? Which model (also didn't their quality became quite bad after they started to produce it in China?). I also heard good things of Unbranded,

Go try some on nigger. The default suggestion is 511s but if your legs are too fat for it, you'll know and you'll have to go to 513s etc.

If you're in the US, Levi's it is.
If you're in Europe, Cheap Monday is the equivalent of them.
They are both great to their price, but Levi's overpriced in EU.

Cheap monday is a very different brand than Levi's.

Levi's are very common in Europe, but they are generally more "conservative" than cheap monday. Cheap Monday is much, much cheaper than levi's and their design is tight, tighter and if that's not good enough, they also have extremely tight.

You could check out Lee, Wrangler, Crocker and Levi's, perhaps peek at Nudie, Acne or Replay.

>> No.8907853

Do not try levi's. Try Lee or Wrangler instead.

I switched from levis to wrangler a few years ago after moving out west. I only knew wrangler a brand that sold ugly clothing at walmart, but they have a line called cowboy cut which I've really grown to like. They're iconic, inexpensive, and of very high quality. You can find them for around $20, I personally like their slim version, but if you have bigger thighs the classic cut might be better.

>> No.8908670

501's and done.

Button fly and classic styling thats not hipster faggy, dad jean conservative or dumpy "i gave up on life" wrangler/lees.

DO IT.

Also, try on cloths at a store if you have no idea how sizing works.

>> No.8908691

go to jc penney or a levis outlet and you might be able to find 508s (tapered fit), which were recently discontinued. they replaced these with 522s (slim taper), which sound like they would be slimmer than the 508s, but i haven't actually tried them. if you are willing to spend more money, try on a pair of unbranded 201s or naked and famous weird guys. these are both tapered fits

Please, both companies have a rich history as work pants, like levi's, with wrangler still actually producing them, while the other two have been relegated to jcpenny-esque fits, fashion and quality, for the most part, not that there's anything wrong with jcpenny.

>> No.8909679

If you have bigger legs but a smaller waist, consider 501 STF. Buy true to size on the waist and the shrinkage will give you a slim but roomy fit.

I'd only get them if on sale though. Otherwise definitely get Unbranded tapered.

You'll probably have to get them online. They sell them here at ranching supply stores, so you can check that out if you live near one. I'm originally from the midwest, but now live in Wyoming, and what I've noticed is that our (midwestern) farming supply stores don't stock them for some reason, the unsanforized original style jeans anyway. Here's an interesting write up.
[I guess I can't post links here, if you google wrangler vs levis it's the first result in the image search]

Slim fit:
On shepler's they're listed as "WRANGLER JEANS - 936 SLIM FIT RIGID" and they're on sale for $22. The cheaper one are the unsanforized ones, and they're much better looking than the prewashed/preshrunk version that costs more.

I'd also point out that these are not identical to the ones you've posted, which I think are wrangler bluebells, which from what I gather aren't available in the US. I think they're named after a discontinued American line.

There is a guide somewhere that got posted by a levis employee about the different quality levels of levis.
They basicly have 5 different quality levels with prices between $20 to $400 or something.
Can't find it right now, maybe someone else could post it for you.
