if you're going to the barber make sure the one who's cutting your hair is an experienced barber and not just some mexican who got picked up at home depot.

Ultimately it's much better to just visit a nice salon.

If you're making a big change to your hair I would always go to a salon. Barbers aren't necessarily bad for maintainence but I don't trust them to restyle.

yea for sure. I recently restyled my hair to something similar. it is just a look with long bangs and texture/layer the top quite a bit. go with a 4 (buzz trim) on the side but make sure to tell them to blend the top to the sides, this is done with scissors. and just brush it forward and a bit messy

you gotta know what you're getting into though. a cut like that requires maintenance and a lot of time to get it look not shit.

only proceed with a cut like that, if you're comfortable trimming the sides/back by yourself (between cuts), and can spend 30~ minutes in the morning situating it with several different products.

length is negligible as long as you have somewhere to put it.

i've seen plenty of people with careers wearing similar haircuts, but it relies heavily on them having good facial aesthetics or else itll be a mess.
