Stick to buying monochromatic and simple non-graphic pieces. Start buying different types of shirts and pants and work on mastering proportion. You could try some draped shirts, some button ups, a pair of shorts that you feel comfortable wearing and that look good on you. Buy some basic pieces that can work in various situations. Be able to dress for any situation. Once you've done that, start buying meme shoes.
