/fa/, I mustache you a question.

Here's the thing. I have this dude's beard, almost exactly. The same colour, the same texture, the same growth pattern, almost the same density (he has a bit more density in the mustache region, I have a bit more in the lower lip and chin).

And just like this guy, I have a beard that is brown on the cheeks, neck and lower chin, but fades to blond on the upper chin and mustache.

And I strongly dislike it. So I'm wondering if there is any way to darken the blond bits to brown without further darkening the already brown areas?

Anybody have any ideas?

I actually do something sort of like this. When I sip my coffee, if a bit sops into my mustache, I intentionally don't wipe it for as long as possible in hopes that the staining qualities of the brew will help me out.

So far, nothing.

One of the more annoying thing about have a beard that coloured in this fashion is that in certain lighting, it basically looks invisible, like the mustache is part of your lip, leading to an amish beard appearance. Pic related.

I've learned to accept it, and even appreciate it sometimes, but if I'm really honest about it, it bugs me, especially in situations like this >>8716448

If I can do something about it, I would like to try it out.

You'll notice that Keaton here has mastered the art of pulling down his bottom lip so as to keep his mustache from evaporating in poorly lit photos.

This is how you know if a beard is a hipster beard or a legit beard.
Only hipsters would use this phrase.

It seems like I'm probably going to just rock it. I may experiment with some hair dyes this October under the guise of 'doing it for my halloween costume' though.

The more I post pictures of this guy, the more I realize we look shockingly alike and have similar taste in clothing, so this is the hungry skeleton fate that awaits me is I stop all physical activity and let my body wither.

Mostly because I would hate to have to get all my clothing re-tailored.

Why aren't you considering using hair dye, it seems like an obvious solution. Sure you'll have hard time choosing the right color and it will be a bit tricky to apply, but it'll work.

Well, the thing is, I cant figure out a way to use dye to darken the blond without darkening the brown to an almost black hue.

>> No.8719072

>>8718998
But why, all you have to do is apply hairdye only on your blond hair. You can use tinfoil or protective cream if you don't have a steady hand.

Do you know how hair grows? It grows from the roots. What's happening is that with time and exposure your light beard grows out and darkens into that color.

Short answer: nothing you can do about it except dye it. I think it looks cool as is tbh
