Depends on the type of boot you're talking about. I think the board hivemind thinks, and not without reason, that things like Alden Indys are /mfa/core.

But modern, contemporary tech-y boots, chelsea boots, combat boots, anything put out by a designer with a coherent aesthetic and enough cult prestige /fa/ seems to like.

FWIW, I personally like or at least appreciate most boots, including old school deals like Aldens.

As for OP's? I think they're a well executed riff on those Cordura side Timberlands you see. I personally prefer the originals, like I usually do, but I can see these fitting into someone's personal style better - which is the justification, besides profit, for companies doing takes on each other's designs. I think it's usually valid.
