are cps worth the full price?
i find the quality questionable when the sale price history is above 50%

people say always buy it used/sale but most of the time it's not available in my size

>> No.8665885

they're worth full price in that, if they didn't go on sale every season i would have eventually saved up and bought them anyway at msrp

>> No.8665908

The styles that aren't easy sales for retailers are the ones that go on sale. That's why very rarely will plain white or black lows/mids every hit sales.

I wouldn't pay retail for CPs unless you're completely dying for them. 300 is decent price, if you can find 200 or so then it's a great deal. Obviously that pricing changes depending on each pairs retail cost

most designer shit are not worth full price but since we love fashion the prices are justified.

They are. The styles may not be too exciting (fit me perfectly though), but the quality is top. You won't find much competition for them at that price point.

what other shoes do you own? (please dont lie)

i bought my first pair at full price but subsequent pairs heavily discounted

£260 white achilles low vs £140 chelseas and £60 navy achilles low

tbh probably wouldn't cop at full price again but i had a ton of money knocking about. I'm assuming b/c you're asking this question that you don't - in which case, wait for a discount/second hand or get an alternative.

What model are you after, the ones in the pic?

I find that the all white Achilles dont age well. particularly because the seams go black with shit.
Does anyone have pics of worn in all whites looking good?

Pic semi related. Offwhite looks like it would age better.

I own a pair of SLP and a pair of Gucci that I bought at half price (full retail price 600$). It's never worth the price, even at 50% off, but the quality is definitively enjoyable. I guess the same thing goes for CPs

almost all made in italy sneakers are pretty much the same quality wise

CPs are made in the same factory, with the same materials, as shoes that cost half the price. Take that as you will.

CPs also used to cost much less than what they do with no change in quality

the only other pair of shoes i own that are on a quality level similar to CP is a pair of high-top calf skin bally sneakers.

however there's a barneys a few train stops away from me and i've handled and tried on shoes from balenciaga, givenchy, rick owens, mmm, sl, giuseppe, etc.

They generally don't make it to the sale part of the season but if you keep your eyes out for special promotions and discount codes that online stores often have for those on their mailing list you'll get 20% off (25-30 if you're lucky). END UK had them for $280 earlier this year, and Tres-Bien drop to around the same price for those outside the EU.
