smoking is /fa/ when a smoker isn't.

I quit smoking about 2 months ago. When you see your mum with a tumour the size of a fist on her neck at age 46 struggling to breathe and too frail to leave her bed you re-evaluate whether looking cool is really worth it. Quitting wasn't even hard after seeing that

I smoke because I like the taste and the feeling.

Don't think I haven't had family members die due to smoking-related illnesses and that I don't worry about the ones that still smoke everyday.

I don't know anyone who smokes to look badass. You're not gonna look badass if you try to look badass, that defeats the purpose.

The fact that you'd think about quitting when you're older to avoid health risks suggests that you are in fact smoking to look badass.

I just feel like a such an idiot smoking sometimes, I know how unhealthy it is and how bad it smells to people but sometimes the only reaction I can produce is to light up. I'm trying to cut down, maybe I won't quit 100% and keep it as a social thing but it feels fucking pathetic smoking all alone when not even drunk.
