What do you think about the idea of having a uniform? Recently I find myself wearing similar things everyday and my wardrobe has lots of the same items (3 pairs black jeans, white oxfords, 2 grey sweats). If you find something that fits you well and looks good, why not buy lots of same items?

Raf Simons, Tom Ford, Rick Owens, Karl Lagerfeld etc. all wear similar outfits everyday.

What would the /fa/ uniform be?

Sometimes i want to do it too but people would think that you are disgusting

Well, people like Raf and Rick don't need to put as much effort into their clothing because they're 'famous' and iconic.

Ye is a manlet but he can get away with it because he's him. Nothing wrong with a uniform though as long as you're comfortable with it.

I get what you mean. If I showed up to work everyday in the same outfit people would think I don't wash my clothes.

I usually wear the same pair of jeans and shoes but change my shirt every other day.

After all, no one gives a shit about your raf or rick unless they lurk /fa/, sufu, sz, or some variation of those boards. Not that I don't give a flying fuck about any of those forums - /fa/ numba 1

>> No.8628076

I do this to some degree

I buy multiples of the same thing so I can wear the same shit like 4 days in a row lol

I think looking at the age and place of the designers and the average age of /fa/ and their interest in fashion, a uniform isn't really something I would understand for /fa/ to have because it implies a sense of settling in and married to a certain combination of clothing which also gives a sense of completion in the interest of fashion. While the designers you mentioned have uniforms, their interests and influences are elsewhere, and they don't focus on their appearance, compare to more contemporary designers.

That being said, there are certain elements of what I wear that I feel somewhat naked and uncomfortable if I can't wear it.

FUck that shit, I'm always going to be looking to re-invent myself even when I'm old as balls.

Raf Simons uniform is always on point. I think most people could pull it off as well. It's all about the fit. Get yourself decent fitting jeans/oxford shirts and you'll be fine.

Does anyone else think Thom Brownes uniform is super autistic?

>> No.8628153

>>8628072
Lmao this is such bullshit.
Have you ever seen a street style blog, or been to a place like London or Paris? People do wear Raf and high-end designer clothing without having /fa/ tell them to, you fucking drip.

>> No.8628158

I am assembling a uniform at the moment after about a year of planning. I'm very excited. I do plan on changing under-garments regularly, but otherwise, it will be the same outfit for all seasons.

I totally support your decision, OP. Go for it~

Just taking a guess here, but you're probably not in the position to call Thom Browne's uniform autistic. (post fit)

>> No.8628166

>>8628153
lol really faggot? I bet rick owens and raf are the only designers you know. There's a handful of designers who only a rare few will be able to even identify on the street.

The whole fit is terrible, the only person that looks good in Thom Browne is Thom Browne. And even he looks shit.

Seriously if a proper tailor on Saville Row saw that fit they'd be in hysterics.

Been doing this for awhile. After some time people started to notice and they don't really give a fuck tbh.

Though every time I buy a new piece (even a simple sweater) people notice it instantly and think it was nice. Feels good I guess.
