Rick is more relevant than ever in the mainstream, which obviously brings about dissent from the 'true Rick fans' who have been around since 2009 and believe their claim to legitimacy is greater than, for lack of a better term, post-A$AP fans. Rick right now is being eagerly digested by the hip-hop audience, and regardless of whether he is intentionally catering to that audience (I very much doubt he is) it will probably affect the way the brand is perceived. I suppose this could bring about a decline in critical appreciation for the brand, but he's very unlikely to fall from relevance anytime soon.
