Smelled this at the mall and I really like it and I was at a Ross the other day and picked it up for about half off the price it was at Sephora. I fucking love the way this stuff smells on me but man it only lasts a few hours and then its gone.

I use this. Pretty entry level I think, but it's my first big boy cologne.

At first girls think it smells too musky/wood but then after a second sniff, they're like "Wow, that's nice. Really unique". it lasts quite 3 hrs or so.

so... i'm lovin it. most important thing is that YOU like the smell of it.

i'd wager the use of synthetics has gone up in mass market production, niche houses as well, based on my own DIY experiences making perfume and sampling other fragrances that use only natural ingredients. naturals dry out quickly (it often vanishes from my skin in 4-6 hours), but some of the stuff i've sampled from big houses last 12, 16 hours.

theres also a technicolor quality to synthetics that doesn't happen in naturals, all natural perfumes have a "brown" quality which has been remarked on by other amateur perfumers as well

You can get free samples at Sephora (I would say don't ask for more than 4, it will seem strange).

You can also get free samples at department stores (the higher end they are, the better the selection will be). In Toronto, Holt Renfrew and Harry Rosen will give samples of Tom Ford and Creed if you are lucky.

If you want to pay for samples, Luckyscent has a good selection.

It's absolutely wonderful. Perfectly unisex, fresh, summery. Been using it all summer and I've been pleasantly surprised with the results. I was doubtful cause it was a gift from my mom and she's not exactly /fa/. But shit, it's one of the best gifts I ever got.

Decision me; Code or Gio? I've done Gio before and loved it, but I want maybe some variety.

Also, looking for maybe a subtler, warm/spicy scent for evening wear. Ideas? Everything I've tried is too strong or to sweet smelling.

>not knowing about the oldest and best Hermès cologne of all.
There is so much controversy about this fragrance, apparently it smells like unwashed asshole to some people, others say it's the best they've ever smelled. It was also the inspiration for Terre d'Hermès and Declaration de Cartier. I would tell you to try it but your noses are probably too pleb for it

I'm actually wearing it right now.
Sometimes it can be a tad too powdery for my taste, but for a $20 frag it's not bad. Not really for summer though, it's way too warm.

probably matches a scent of some pheromones

This is all i wear and i get complemented at least once a week by females. Tbh I only smell it for like 30 mins after i put it on... So i'm assuming my pheromones must be pretty wildly accept by the female pop.

D&G Light Blue

YSL - La Nuit De L'Homme

The YSL one is my ace in the hole during the fall/winter. Especially at night. I get the most mileage out of the D&G one because it's light enough for the daytime and spring/summer months. That being said, I am a creature of habit which probably makes me a pleb.
