Any successful thrift-shop cops?

What did you cop? how expensive?

I'm gradually visiting all the thrift shops in my area, still looking for a nice pair of corduroys in my size. You can find some really dope shoes in most shops.

nah

Here in Toronto the good stuff gets picked before its even out for sale. And that fucking Mackerel song didn't help at all

"Consignment" stores is where is at now. I've copped a few good and interesting pieces from thrift shops, but most of the time isn't worth the time spent looking.

Oh and Etsy. If you measure yourself, and lrn2sizing, Etsy is good

This. Fuck the thrift store staff, they always buy the best things

>> No.8624083

most of the things i own are thrifted. god-tier jackets and a couple of shirts and shoes. NEVER EVER PANTS.

the trick is to put in the time and really dig in, usually in every few shops you should find a GOOD item, and every long while a GREAT item. from where i go, the items are generally cheap.

Most thrift stores stall their new stuff a specific day of the week. Try to figure out, or simply ask when they do that and you'll probably be one of the firsts.
Honestly I only see poor and old people walking around though, hardly any youngsters looking for clothes.
Definitely going to search around for consignment stores now as well.

The long sleeve is nice but the button ups look kinda bulky

IIRC a lot of consignment stores have deals with thrift stores where they get to sort through the merchandise before it goes for sale

I don't really live in a /fa/ place, so I never find ANYTHING thrifted.
Nothing is ever in my size either, so I don't really bother.

I did find some dreamboxes at a thrift store in Denver though. It gave me a decent chuckle.
