How much money have you spent on our journey of becoming /fa/? How much money should the average normcore person spend?

>tfw over the last 3 years you've probably spent $500 on ASOS shit

trying out new styles is expensive as fuck. It took me a long ass time to find my style. only now starting to invest in streetwear

I spent 1000€ in HK this summer alone, I'd say around 3000€ since discovering /fa/.

not much. i don't like owning a lot of stuff and think consumerism and market economies are a catastrophe in the making, and so i've managed to reduce my expenses and wardrobe size to a surprisingly small amount by buying only versatile items that i must love and having an inexpensive plain t-shirt/dress shirt and jeans/pants uniform that i wear for most days, and only wear my more interesting pieces on the off day. it's weird but i'm happy with it. i only add pieces that i must have, and not surprisingly, that's rare. it's cool too because i can splurge on those rare pieces and the total amount spent is still comparatively low.

that's p cool, muh minimalist nigga

I'm also trying to do the same, but finding pieces that I absolutely love with no flaws is extremely hard doing off-the-rack. I also need to make myself open for expensive cops, I still bear the "anon, did you really spend X on Y" mindset.

eh i don't want to discuss this because the topic is quite involved but i object to it on a number of levels: socially, environmentally, and spiritually even, capitalism is a dead-end and the technology that has been supporting it (and that i assume you put your faith in) will most likely lead to our demise. we just aren't wise enough to manage that amount of power over nature, and in the end, nature will have her way with us. should we happen upon a technology for example that could wipe out all our kind with just a simple mechanism, we wouldn't just need to protect against that for that moment, but for the entirety of our existence as a race, and i'm not certain that we would be able to defend against that. this is very highly speculative and it's just one example, there are many such problems right now, and i don't want to believe in such gloomy projections, but i can't say that it won't happen either.
