I'm only 20 and already going bald. It's shit, but I've decided not to resist it. Just giving in and shaving it all off soon. Anyone got advice for bald people or stories about baldness or whatever? Anything related to baldness goes, basically.

Both. Hairline is receeding, forming the half moon of hairlessness. To make it worse, my hair is thinning all the way from the center-front to the center of the scalp, leaving only the sides intact. It looks really bad, so I'm just gonna shave it all off.

Every day I see a thread on 4chan where some guy with standard male pattern baldness is surprised as fuck.

The reason those guys in TV and movies seem to start balding when they're 38 is they were using finasteride and minoxodil.

It happens then either because they don't feel they need the pretty hair so much anymore or because their body developed a tolerance to the drugs.

Well, no. Going bald at 20 isn't the standard, unless most of the men over 30 I've seen use minoxidil and finasteride, which i highly doubt. Most seem to lose it in their high/early 30s and 40s. Starting to lose it at 18 is pretty rare.

That might be true in the middle east, where the population seems to have a bit more testosterone, but not at all here in europe. Most here seem to keep their hair almost completely intact into their 30s at least.

Balding is caused by DHT, not testo (and arab men usually don't go bald as often as europeans do).

Baldness comes from testo being converted into dht and getting into your scalp through the bloodflow. More testo probably means more DHT. Thick bodily hair is also a result of testo. Arabs tend to have thick hair, and from what I've seen over there, more go bald. I don't think I have a single relative home in Egypt above age 35 who isn't completely bald or balding badly. Well, except my dad, funnily enough... Hitting his 50s never as much as gave him a tiny little bald spot, and he's never even touched anti hair loss drugs.
