Long hair isn't all its claimed to be
It's time consuming, there is often a period where it looks absolute shit whilst growing it, gets in your face, getting overplayed (depends on where you are though), and most people will look 10 times better with short hair.
also the texture of your hair matters; if i recall, most long hair pics that arent asian all have a wavy texture, and long hair with tighter curls (excluding black hair, so speaking relatively for white) like a jewfro will look bad, and straight hair will look ehh
