What does /fa/ recommend?

I'm torn between these two colors, to get both seems excessive.

Desert Boots general.

/fa/ used to recommend dessert boots, but not anymore. More of a mfa thing. I don't particularly like either color, but I'd probably go with the second pair if I had to pick.

they're fine, they aren't eccentric looking but they're versatile and completely acceptable

also to OP: either color is fine, I usually recommend beeswax + black to people for the sake of versatility but if you like lighter ones then go for it

I got a pair in leather beeswax and black for exactly the same reason. I wanted a lighter color for the hell of it.

These are best two OP. DON'T buy desert boots in leather, that is extremely stupid and contradicts the 'desert' boot.

Get either beeswax or black. Depends if you wear predominately dark colours, you wont get much wear out of beeswax. Though come summer when you stop dressing like a ninja, beeswax will look great with pants and shorts.

leave leather to a more appropriate boot.
