Pretty much none of these are things you do in everyday situations. The few that you DO do every now and then are things you do at home, where there are knives aplenty. Also some of these "uses" such as rapping on jar lid to loosen seal are fucking retarded for this list because they apply to just about anything, not knives.

Why would you need to carry a knife literally every day? I think it is just to be edgy

Piss on Moleskine. Get Leuchtturm 1917, far better paper and layout with numbered pages and a table of contents, should you need such. Not to mention they take ink much better than Moleskine's and facillitate fountain pens.

I dunno, I carry a knife usually (only a 2" rambler at the moment) and I've used it a lot and lent it to people a lot.

Opening packages and cutting food are the two biggest uses for me. I used to carry a slightly bigger box cutter (top of pic just thrown in to show) but I don't cut boxes as much.

IMO probably anyone who carries a knife does it because they find it useful. It depends where you live/what you do when you are out.
