The heel area of my Jack Purcells have started peeling off (see picture).

Any ideas on how to fix it? Should i bother taking it to a cobbler?

Do you forcibly pull them off or push your feet in? Tends to happen with lazy and improper putting on / taking off. Honestly, shoe horns help a ton if you don't want to loosen and tighten the laces every single time.
