You're right, it should be the opposite, and it was until the 20th century. Before the early 1900's or so we didn't even assign colours to genders, kids generally wore white dresses regardless of gender in fact. It was then that consumerism started to take on, colours for babies caught on, blue for girls, pink for boys, then around the end of the 40's feminism took off and women everywhere started switching colours as an act of defiance, the rest is history. This is why I get annoyed when somebody says something like girls naturally like pink, or a gay guy must have liked pink as a kid, colour selection is a social construct.

The boy-o wanted some new non-tees and he picked up a few of the washed Bastian x Uniqlo polos. Slim, but not too slim, and a nice hand if you don't love the SUPER crispy texture of regular pique, but you could always just wash the shit out of your polos at home. The spread collar is a nice touch, though.
