just don't be stupid about it. Reward yourself in moderation. Most people binge fast and binge eat which never works out.

Don't eat shit food. Cut deserts completely. If you crave sweets drink half a cut of chocolate almond milk (50 calories).
Try to fill up on vegetables (not fruits). I don't eat meat, but it's ok in moderation. Stick to leaner cuts like chicken and try to not make it the center of your meal. The most important thing is to never get too full. Eat until you feel fine, but never feel gorged. Always be bloated from drinking too much water.

For exercise, focus on cardio but don't cut weights completely. Try to run 5 miles a day (this only takes at most 40 min at your local gym). If you are having a hard time doing that, hop on the elliptical and watch some TV, but make sure your heart rate is up at all times and you are getting a good sweat.

If this doesn't work, default to looser clothing and work what you have, weight isn't everything.

For all the stoners out there, I have pioneered this method called the anti-munchies. Basically you practice it and eventually you associate the feeling of being high with not eating, instead of continuously reinforcing the "when i smoke, i eat" lifestyle.

As a result, even if I was hungry before I smoked, I remain without hunger for at least two hours. I completely loose the desire to eat without thinking about. It's even a bit difficult to eat when fresh now.

I know some diet well and then blow it on munchies. Now the dank helps suppress my appetite, just like cigarettes or adderall.

Also: adderall is a god send. too bad i'm off it now for heart health paranoia.

A few ways worked for me, depending on my age and how easy everything is when you're younger.

12 years back, in university, I weighed 217lbs more and looked like ass. I just started walking and running everywhere, got down to a lean 161lbs, then it started creeping back over the course of 7 years of inactivity.

A few years ago I got into the habit of eating a big breakfast, and a big lunch, because it was in the evenings after work that I'd be too tempted by sweets and huge dinners. This way I can eat what I want, never feel hungry, and still lose weight (about 1lb a month).

Lately I got into weight training, and actually put on half a stone in muscle at least.

I'm now 196lbs, and despite some shrinking love handles yet to go, I've never looked better.
