Proportion and scale on these are COMPLETELY wrong. The white isn't a two-tone colorway, it's missing the triple-needle stitch along the entire upper, laces are far skinnier, the grain texture isn't remotely close to the original, and the midsole is missing a ton of details and contrasts. Even if you didn't know what the original looked like, everything about these just seems half-assed.

Thread is about summer shoes so why not. For probably the last 3 years or so I've been wearing Rick sneakers in the horrible CA weather. Safe to say I dress the style too. However I sort of want to go casual this summer; would MMM GATs be a safe choice for a summer shoe? I don't think it would mesh too well with my wardrobe but I plan on just picking up some shorts and shirts from Uniqlo.

Picture is pretty much the look im going for but with a bit more white. Something chunky and suuuper high-top. Lots of ankle support and just "flashy" i guess. Like i said, I've been wearing basics for a while and I'm venturing out into HBA style shit and I'd like a shoe to compliment that look.

That's good, means the situation is improving, but I still find posters who insist that b&w streetwear is the only way to go and that anything else is boring. Sure that's exaggerating a little but you can see what I mean. Another pet peeve of mine on /fa/ is the monochrome obsession, if you look in the inspo thread you'll find a LOT of purely black and white fits. I get the feeling people go for this because it's harder to fuck up.

I'm tied between these two right now. I've skated some Adidas before and I liked the way they looked buy I shredded them up pretty bad. As for the Roshe, I keep seeing them around and they look like a good all around sneaker for most outfits. I mostly dress in black/whites/grays and kinda sporty anyway.

The price is slightly inflated for what it is, but it's about as reliable as any other made in Portugal footwear (e.g. The Generic Man, Kenzo). If you really want it, get it full retail and know you're just getting first dibs, but you can always wait for sales.
