Hair's getting longer, intended to grow it maybe just past jawline but it's thick as fuck. When getting my hair cut before people have called other hairdressers over to put their hands in my hair as they couldn't believe how thick it was. Generally every time I've gone for the last year or so I get the sides and back buzzed to a grade 1, faded into the top, which they thin out.

But with summer getting into full swing I'm tempted as fuck to get a shorter haircut- 1 back and sides and just long enough on top to gel or do something with it. Should I do it?

Yes, and my reasoning is that due to my lack of knowledge in hair products I don't know what would work best for me.

Since I'm always out and about my hair slowly becomes flat. :(

Hi /fa/, I'm kinda new here so don't be too rough pls.

So, I'm 22 and my hairline is already receding, which, obviously, fucking sucks. In order to disguise it I've been getting haircuts where the top hair is left longer, in order to cover the front. Thing is, it's pretty weak and shit gets all messy at the slightest breeze. What do you recommend? I'm not really fond of gel, but I can give hairspray a shot. I can also get some half assed webcam pics if you want.

My hair is thick, black, and grows straight out like an afro. I tried to cut it short on the sides and long on the top, but ended up giving myself a high and tight with the top really long. I just want the sides and top to seamlessly transition into one another. My hair doesn't spiral, either
