I'll have to wait until I see them in person but at the moment they seem very uninspired, and they're not nearly as distinctive and 'rick-like' for lack of a better word as the first collab. The square heel might actually be a more interesting element than it appears to be so far from photos so I won't completely dismiss the shoes, but they're a little boring for me. /fa/ seems to love them though, they seem like they'll be a lot easier to pull off than the first collab.

I have a pretty heavy dislike for ornamental shit that doesn't at least have a semblance of purpose. Similar to the aesthetic mistake of making summer garments out of heavy winter materials and vice verse. It looks tacky to me.

That piece is really underwhelming, I'd go for the DRKSHDW Parka if you had to. Although they're pretty much a small drop in quality having owned the DRKSHDW one and currently owning the mainline Moleskin one from FW07. Just minor things like different lining, lining being pretty much thin, not as warm. Definitely try to purchase it on sale, I paid retail and regretted it (for the DRKSHDW one).

You've got a sizable budget, so it's not like you're TOO restricted in options. Even more modernized sporty stuff like Y-3 or T by Wang is very accessible and easy to find.

Stuff it. You participate on effay because you want to be the corpulent guppy in a rapidly draining puddle. You don't know anything substantiative that wasn't handed to you on a line sheet, you don't know how to dress yourself except by buying a single designer's basics and you still style it like you closed your eyes and dove head first into a sales rack at Atelier. In a world without DRKSHDW campaigns and SZ's waywt you'd look like the hot mess your Chictopia account betrays you to be.

The only things you really share, on here, and on your blog, are low key brags about trips to Paris and seats at Rick shows, yet your store is one of the smallest accounts in existence, there isn't even an outfit's worth in your stock and it's stacked against the corniest bridge lines in existence. I had a feeling, but I'm kind of the opinion that if you want really interesting, stylized cargos, it's hard to compromise. It depends on what you're wearing. The 'autistic goofninja' meme is something that exists in the minds of the bitter /fa/ users who can't afford Rick. Agreed. Something like a tee and jean is pretty straightforward and it'll just feel a little tweaked. But hey, I get it, you have trouble figuring out how to wear tshirts and consider the advice of, "just treat them like a tshirt dude" to be super, duper helpful. Meanwhile you look the other way while he posts homophobic tirades and excuses them on the grounds that he loves dick too, body shames people, and just generally acts like a prissy little queen.

Most of the collection is pretty consistent with sizing across the board with tailoring and leathers sometimes running a touch smaller (though that's usually the intention). If M gets you a slim, but still draped cut in the tees, the M in the hoodie should be fine. If you want to ensure the more relaxed fit, you might want to try the Oversized cut or the Jason Long instead of the Gimp or Jason Regular.

They're just clothes. You don't need to act different when wearing them.

I got to admit when i bought my first rick pieces i was a bit more carefull with them than i would be with cheaper clothing. But that quickly faded away.

The only thing that i hated was that the sole off my geos was gone after a few months. I had the older model with the staples and the short tongues. Don't know if the sole of the newer ones last longer.

I was looking through the archive for fitpics/inspo and found posts from user. One of the few interestiing posters we had on this board. Always friendly, gave advice when you had questions, didn't shitpost.

USER POST:
i edited it a bit again, feel free to revert if you dont like it, i could go into way more depth on certain things but i was trying to keep it easily digestible.
Examples of Brands: Rick Owens, Yohji Yamamoto, Julius, Ann Demeulemeester, Haider Ackermann

Avant garde is a much less accessible, niche aesthetic. People use the term "Goth Ninja" to describe it, which is similar to calling Menswear "Dadcore". The usual defining features of this style are a monochrome / grayscale color palette, unconventional proportions, textures, construction, unique materials - but really, anything goes.

It is a subjective term and therefore there are no real boundaries or rules that dictate whether an unconventional "Dark" look is "Avant - Garde" or not. Ideologies and Philosophy are an important part of the aesthetic, and many of the designers make conscious efforts to differentiate themselves from mass produced garments with no meaning, depth, or "Soul".

Many pieces are made with unique techniques, treatment (dying, tanning, distressing), and materials. Often, brands place a strong focus on distinctive or unorthodox construction of pieces, for example rather than using a conventional nylon lining in a blazer, it will be unlined with raw edges on the inside, or the lining will be made of a linen/nylon blended fiber.

A vast majority of "avant garde" brands place a strong priority on being anti-branding, using minimalist logos on the interior of pieces, generally placing priority on the construction, form, and quality of the garment, above the brand that created it.

Many of the people who appreciate this aesthetic share the same appreciation for craftsmanship, modern design, and anti - consumerism.

That's what I'm gonna stick to, his louder stuff would probably clash with my predominantly goofninja future wardrobe a bit too much anyway
That gradient jumper is amazing, probs gonna be my first cop

Nah man I feel you, it is true and I've really been trying to get better and improve in myself lately
I guess that's why I want to move forward with my fits, I've really got into fashion and it helps give me confidence when I'm out doing shit (unwarranted confidence maybe. But still)
We're making it /fa/m

>>8323364
Of course a lot of his more avant-garde stuff'll be out but there's still a lot you can incorporate
basics, tees and longsleeves, jumpers/ goodies/cardigans, he makes some really nice 'regular' trousers too
Even some of his shoes, you could easily work a pair of, say, Vicious short combats into a menswear fit

And his outerwear is pretty much GOAT whether you feel you want a leather jacket or nice coat, for that matter there was a really sick draped coat on guy I you might like to check out
