My hair is pretty much that length, I still consider that the mullet-stage, and I occasionally get comments on it being a mullet. To get to this stage, it took 8 months or so

depends on your hair. When I was 18, I did that two, carried long hair till I hit 22. With thick hair, it will just be coming down evenly on all sides of your head in a stiff, uncomfy way, a bit like in the pic. Plus, showers and shampooing and hair drying took about 1h each time.

Better go find some asian barber in your region and ask him for advice.

Having long, wavy, thick hair + hating the feeling of wet hair on my face/neck while it's drying don't mix well at all
