Not really. I mean, for some people the long hair and dirty attire suits them. That's just how they roll with their style.

In general spics look like shit, metal shirts aren't that bad if your body isn't disgusting like this flat-nosed dark-skinned wetbacks.

While there are some metal bands that are /fa/, metal as a whole, as a subculture, is as far from /fa/ as it gets. The /fa/ bands are usually shunned by the metalhead community for being unmetal anyway.

Varg Vikernes is effay.
Also, even though it's not their target, metalheads sometimes look effay.

It's not /fa/ in itself, but if it's your aesthetics, it's possible to be /fa/ whilst rocking it

Who cares? Listen to what you like rather than what the internet says is fashionable.

No.

I know this metalhead who looks like he puts more effort into his look than others. Nicely-fitting pants, good shoes, hair is long but well-kept.

But his fucking metal t-shirts, goddamn. He never doesn't wear one. It's like, every day, he asks himself, "what metal t-shirt will I wear today?" I fucking swear he has hundreds of them. And the designs are so garish. They are huge gaping aberations on otherwise okay 'fits.

I mean, I'd just go for ones with minimalist designs. Maybe geometric shapes, two-tone color photos, decent graphics, etc. Not, like, a tapestry of dismembered limbs and an illegible band name. I mean, you may as well walk down the street with a shirt that says "I LIKE METAL. THE FOLLOWING IS A LIST OF EVERY METAL BAND I HAVE EVER LISTENED TO!" every single day. I if you don't wear a metal shirt for, like, one day, people won't all of the sudden forget that you like metal. It doesn't need to be a constant thing.

Indie, Punk and New Wave are the main effay subgroups.

It's funny most of fashion is actually derived from music.

There's no other force that's a larger influence over designers. So on the one hand you have a bunch of plebs who have no interest in fashion whatsoever and yet somehow they've managed to cultivate their own unique aesthetic and style which is then knocked off and endlessly repackaged.

You have to obviously look at these things deeper than just jpgs on a computer screen. The biggest issue with metal's style is that there's a lack of aesthetic vocabulary and general knowledge. Metalheads have very particular taste but they don't know how to adequately express it. Even the brands that cater to them are mostly made up of people who don't really have a clue.

That's 90% of the issues with metal fashion we're talking about stuff like fit and fabric, these are NOT justifiable reasons to pass judgement on an entire aesthetic or style. I guarantee that if someone cut metal clothes that actually fit properly and out of half decent fabrics it could look good as hell.

Anyway, regardless it influences designers who then repackage it in their own way and then it apparently becomes fashionable to the clueless fucclords on /fa/.

It is and you're retarded if you think it isn't. Music has produced more fashion than anything next to fashion itself which is endlessly influenced by it.

When you look at styles by decade how often are those seriously linked to some type of music subculture?

Fashion is a mirror, it rarely creates and mostly exists as a reflection of society and culture, fashion doesn't shape these things, but stuff like music does.

Of course it is.

And you've already gotten the attention of a bunch of novelty seeking materialist twats eager to appropriate the next subculture they come across dry.

I was trying to keep the metal aesthetic a secret, but the cat is out of the bag.
