So uh

Do you guys notice that when you have longer hair, a lot more hairs seem to fall out/come out when you comb it?

Also my scalp is really fucked, it either gets dry and flaky or really greasy when I have it longer, shit actually gets itchy and BLEEDS in the back sometimes.

Any tips?

jk about the no poo u might need to see a derm, maybe get medicated shampoo.

Posting here because similar question.

If I have really thin hair, should I do no poo or use a thickening shampoo? Also how often are you supposed to wash your hair on no poo?

yes I do notice that, at first I thought I was balding (as I assume you are) so I went and saw a specialist. longer hair means you will notice it more if it falls out, and if you go no poo and then wash your hair once every 6 months or something, when you do wash it you will notice a shit load of it come out.

I used to not even touch or comb my hair because I didn't want to pull it out. In the shower I washed the sides and back and didn't touch rhw top. Now I don't even care. Any hair that comes out when combing was already loose and falling our anyway you just "raked" it out. I wouldn't recommend combing wet hair though cause that actually will pull your hair out.

And yes you just notice it more. I have hair on my bed. Also use wide tooth combs.

No my scalp just gets really dry. Or gets lots of sebum build up. But shampoo dries it out like a motherfucker. Two evils. This does not happen when my hair is short. Any natural recommendations?

Yes. My hairline is receded in a "mature" way so I was panicking, but I've noticed that my hairline looks pretty much the same as it does from over a year ago according to my pictures. Not too different from 2 years ago either, I think.

However when I harshly run my fingers through my wet hair, especially with product, sometimes a lot comes out. Almost always 1 or 2 hairs. What confused me was this happened MORE on the back of my head where hairs aren't affected by MPB.

I rinse my hair, I havent used shampoo in a while though.

Oh fuck, like the permanent type of pulling out? Shit, I think thats what Im doing. Thats when i lose tons of hair, is when I finger comb it while wet. FUCK OH FUCK OH NO

You shed mass hair everyday good news is you are re growing your hair at just as fast rate. The mpb is when you aren't re growing your hair as fast as it's shedding.

So no combing your hair out isnt permanent unless you have MPB.

coconut oil is ur best bet

I've been using dr bronner's peppermint soap for like the longest time ever and i use it on my hair. initially it was kinda wack coming from regular shampoo, but now my hair and scalp so moist and fabulous.

Lel, nope. I dont think I've ever noticed any bleeding from my scalp, and I've kept it pretty long at some points (9" - but that was a longtime ago) and now I just rock that short hair. I've no-poo'd since I was like 16, and no problems.

OK good, sometimes I notice shorter hairs (not thinner) when I do it so I guess Im fucking up the regrowing follicle. I will stop ASAP

Also don't hit me but Ive been on a mostly vegan diet for the past 5 years, I don't eat any soy accept tempeh. Im thinking of cutting it out because I read it can lead to hairloss.

Nigga my hair is filled with it right now. Ive been using it for 2 months now. It helps a lot but does not clean it or anything.

Shout out to Dr. Bronner, love his tea tree soap but shit dries my hair out real bad. Maybe I should us it combined with the coconut oil?

>>8311604
my hair is actually dark brown and wavy even without blood : )

>> No.8311628

Long hair reporting in.

I've done no poo for about 9 months or so. I use all natural conditioner (no silicones!) every 2 days, and coconut oil once a week. I minimise how often I brush my hair because it does cause some to fall out no matter what. I know people say to not brush wet hair, but I do, in the shower when I put conditioner in -- it's necessary to distribute it without having something that lathers like shampoo full of chemicals does. The conidtioner makes it easy to brush anyway so I dont think it causes that much damage.

As for bleeding, WTF, not sure what to say. I guess try something to reduce dryness like coconut oil. That's the sort of thing i would see a professional about because its not normal

this. totally changed the composition of my hair too. i St wash my hair everyday with water, but that's been it for the past like 6 months. hair went from super thin and wispy and fine to more thick, textured, controllable and malleable. looks tons better now.
