Haha richness? Okay. I think the word you want to use is wealth. And no, not exacty. I wear what I like, what goes together, what makes me stand out, and what makes me feel good about my outfit. And I'm willing to pay money for what I want, be it made in America, Europe, or Asia. So why should you feel the need to bash? I thought the fashion board would be at least somewhat accepting and forgiving. Let alone know the different between a collar chain and a necklace.

>> No.8284978

Things can be bold and still be okay, I mean, what's wrong with the shirt? I like floral designs, and the off-white daisy pattern on a deep blue went well the with navy blue tuxedo blazer. The gold is an accent to the outfit, and much less of a status accessory. I don't get what you're trying to prove by shitting all over my outfit. It's alright for fashion to be bold. I mean, that's what makes it noticeable, correct?

Don't worry, OP, he's a retard; everyone else here knows you (obviously) aren't trying to show off your wealth.

>>8284978
Correct, there is nothing wrong with "bold," but this is not what you should be going for. The fit you posted (if it's actually you and not just a troll) is just gaudy and cheap looking at the same time. Save the tuxedo jacket for when you're actually wearing a tux, don't dress like a middle schooler (i.e. taking a suit - or in this case, tuxedo - jacket and using/thinking it's a blazer). I'm not the one who was "shitting all over your outfit," but I do have to say I kind of agree with him. And the collar chain is hideous, it looks like something some Indian kid at uni would be wearing along with his Emporio Armani bag thinking it looks good.

Oh, and if you're going to wear a vest, at least wear it correctly.

[protip: the bottom button on the vest should always be undone]

You need some work, kid, but we can get you there. And unless you're just making a weird face, you clearly need to lose some weight (look at your chin). I'm not trying to be a dick, just helpful.

Hahaha I was leaning out of the frame a bit (my reason for the chin). I'm actually 6'2 , 175lbs.

>bottom button undone
I usually do, actually. You point that out and I'm just now noticing is.

The blazer actually is a blazer. It's the express tuxedo blazer from the photographer line, and it does NOT have matching pants. (yes, laugh, I like Express. Doesn't mean I still don't like good clothes.)
And I'll agree with you about the collar chain. That was an experiment. So yes, weird faces were made. I'm taking your advice because I truly believe you're not being a dick.

>> No.8285080

Interesting, I'm not sure if I've really seen that before, but I have to say I'm not a huge fan of the look with so much going on underneath.

Yea I'd definitely say ditch the collar chain, I mean you're not Xerxes, so it seems a little unnecessary. What about the lower half, what pants and shoes are we working with, OP?

>> No.8285090

The list is up at the top, but all of the clothes are off now, and I'm working on a 15 page analytical embryology report, so while I have time to sit and discuss, I don't have time to get dressed again.

>> No.8285099

>>8285085
Now, where I was going with the pants and shoes, is with all of the gold present, it's not okay to go with anymore bold attention grabbers, even with shoes. So I matched materials with the vest and pants, and just threw on a long, laced, polished black leather shoe similar to an oxford n the sense of design punched leather, but without chukka style wings or a wingtip toe. Matching pants with that blazer would be too formal for even an occasion in which I would wear such a full outfit.

>> No.8285104

>>8285090
>15 page analytical embryology report
Bleh, that may be the least effay subject to study, but oh well. (at least it's not computer science).

Let's see here, I would say drop the pocket watch and pick up a real one. I understand if it was a gift/heirloom handed down, but it just looks either novel or "euphoric," you ought to get a real watch. And I'd ditch the pinky ring while you're at that. It would look substantially better with either the top button unbuttoned (with it buttoned, it kind of just looks like a swagfag or Mexican) or get a tie.

>>8285099
I'm kind of interested in what you see yourself wearing this fit to? It seems rather formal, but obviously not quite black tie formal. May I inquire as to where/when you would wear this?

>> No.8285116

I'm a musician, a bit of a soul singer. This is really a show-and-then-out-to-dinner outfit. Now, actually I don't have a gold wristwatch yet. I'm in the process of acquiring one to suit the pinky ring which, (sorry) is staying. Usually it's the only gold thing I wear, believe it or not, and we all know that mixing metals is a sin. I don't see the pinky ring as tacky or eccentric because there's usually nothing else accompanying it on my body. For the gold, I was thinking a Yellow gold Navitimer, or a yellow gold Omega Deville.
As for the buttoned collar, that usually is unbuttoned unless I'm wearing a tie. I kept it buttoned this time with the chain so I didn't look straight out of a 70's porno flick. I promise you, I'm not new to this game, haha.

>> No.8285138

I would, and I hate the idea of unbalanced accents, but pinky rings are meant to be worn on the pinky finger of the non-leading hand (my left), otherwise they get in the way when writing, and I'm certainly not going to wear a watch backwards for anything.

You need to pay attention, dumbass, this is not a "tasteful clash," it's tacky and childish looking. And no, you're wrong again, the sleeves on the jacket are definitely too long. With your arms bent like that, the shirt is shorter than it normally looks because it has to go around the bend of your elbow and is bunched up. Your excuse of having your arm in a weird position is the exact opposite reason it's obvious that it is too long. And tuck in your shirt for Christ's sake. Granted, this could be a lot worse, but it's no where near "good" or "tasteful" yet.
