No Poo

sticky basicly says its crap but does anyone here has experience with it?

last summer i only showered with water but even after 3 weeks my hair was kinda greasy and straggly when wet. I didnt use a brush though.
Hows this baking soda - vinegar thing going? similar effect to shampoo in terms of fluffyness of the hair?

I dont really remember much anymore but is not using shower gel good? I wash my face only with pretty warm and then cold water and have great skin. How is it in terms of smell?

apple cider vinegar, it's used to restore the ph of your scalp as to make it not too dry or too oily. It's been used as a hair care product since ancient times and shit. However, you gotta dilute it with water, the concoction I made is 1/3 cup of cider vinegar in 16oz of water. Just put it in a water bottle. Your hair will smell like vinegar for a little bit when you get out of the shower but it goes away. Btw you do apply it IN the shower, then rinse your hair out.

Can't speak on behalf of the baking soda. That just sounds like some science fair project shit.

The thing is, people dont realize that the greasy phase you get varies in longevity greatly from people to people. For some, it may only last a few weeks, for others (myself included, who had super greasy hair beforehand) it may last months.

Now, my hair looks better than ever and it doesnt get greasy as it used to (My hair used to get greasy as shit literally the night after I showered in the morning) My hair also got more malleable and doesnt look like shit.

I stopped using shampoo alltogether. When I shower I just use vinager and baking soda to wash. And even then you can get away with just using water for a few days too. Theres times in the morning where I dont have time for a shower so I just wet my hair, dry and comb and it looks good. In fact, in this pic (>>8274828) thats what I did I believe.

I comb it thoroughly and slickly every time after a shower. But take notice that your hair will take a lot longer to dry after you shower (unless you blow-dry but I dont bother with that)

Now, this is not to say that you -CAN´T- use shampoo on no poo, I think I shampooed my hair maybe like twice this past year and holy fuck my hair felt amazing (shampoo amazing) and I didnt have the drawbacks of getting super oily like before. I just choose not to do it because I figured that if Im already doing it might aswell keep at it naturally (plus Im kind of a tinfoil when it comes to artificial, processed crap)

So you CAN use shampoo while no-pooing just it very rarely. Ive heard people do it once a month or once a week, whatever works for you. Also, I wouldnt recomend to start using shampoo untill WAY WAY later into your no-poo shenannigans when youre out of the greasy phase and your natural scalp oils are leveled normally so you wont get that drawback from shampoo stripping it all away.

>(plus Im kind of a tinfoil when it comes to artificial, processed crap)
Thats one of the reasons i want to stop using it and one of the reasons i dont use any cosmetic product for my face.
I also want to grow out my hair ( >>8273997 ) and since it will take over a freaking year i want to treat my hair as good as possible.

I googled baking soda (not murican so it sounds weird as fuck) and found out its just natron. Thats ok i guess.

Do you also dont use shower gel?

Nope. Just water, vinegar and baking soda. If youre trying to grow your hair out just keep in mind that doing no-poo will make your hair lock more easily, but nothing a combing session wont fix.

Yeah man. The point of no-poo is to regulate your scalp´s oil production basically. It has nothing to do with your hair.

Yeah its the same with me, I don't have flakes throughout my hair, but if I mess with my hair at all, flakes show up. Wouldn't be an issue if I didn't mess with my hair when I'm thinking
I hoped it was just a phase, but after a few months, I just started using head and shoulders
To be fair, I didn't try any sort of shampoo alternative, so maybe that's the key to avoiding dandruff

I have lots, and I mean fucking LOTS, of really fine wavy hair; unruly in the extreme. I used to poo every day. Air dry or blow dry my hair would just poof the fuck up, look dry as fuck and be a generally very pleb looking. I tried no poo only water and the result was stagnate smelling hair; texture improves slightly. I went the woman route and decided to stop washing my hair for 2-3 days at a time then poo; texture and smell improves but that first day still looks dry and frizzy. Added Vitalis after towel dry then comb it slick; texture, smell, controllability increases significantly; hair looks fuller, no frizz.

Still don't wash hair regularly but my hair was never very greasy. Friends run fingers through it on third day and comment on its pleasant texture.

Now if only I could do something about the blackheads on my nose.

How to fix nails?

As kid i ripped off my nails (similar to biting but more ruff).
Since i stopped i cut them as short as not seeing to much of the white aprt. I would like to have a longer pink part though. It seems like it is determined by the skin connected to the nail itself.

I want all of my nails being similar to my thumb, being as long es the finger itself with not too much white. Should i just let the nails grow and hope the skin connects itself with the nail again or am i fucked? Is there some operative way to fix it?

I just started to look after my nails, dont look good yet, i know. Also started pushing back the cuticle.

any tips concerning nails are welcome of course.

So my hair is dry on no poo, so I started conditioner washing, but it is still kinda dry and frizzy even afterwards. Wat do? I have really thick hair, and it always looks messy and I have strands flying everywhere a lot of times until I sleep on it, and then it feels great.
