You don't have to look like a total fucking nerd to be into nerdy things.
I actually knew a dude back in high school who played WoW fairly seriously. He was on the football team, big in both height and muscle, and was black. He didn't look geeky in any sense, in fact he looked like the guy who would be putting geeks in the trashcan but he was a really nice guy.
Just another lesson about not judging a book by it's cover.

my youngest brother plays WoW too and he's like one of the best players on his high schools lacrosse team

the best way to handle things like video games (and nerdy things in general) is to make them something to pass the time occasionally. they shouldnt be what defines you, just at most a small part of what you do.

but fuck hanging out with anyone else who likes DF, ive never met anyone but the most autistic people in the fanbase. maybe ive just had bad luck but it certainly seems to be that way
