I normally only wear black/raw denim, however since the weathers getting warmer I need some washed jeans.

What would /fa/ recommend? I've seen these washed Acne Ace jeans that look pretty nice, plus Liberty are offering money off.

Also (washed) denim general.

I've also been looking into washed denim and I was going to buy Acnes like the ones in your picture, but I've been conflicted lately as I've been thinking about how if I'm going to buy Acnes (since I don't own any right now) I should probably go for their black skinny jeans and just cop washed denim off grailed or something because I probably won't be able to incorporate the stuff in non-summer fits that often.

God damn, the Acne vintage jeans look good in the pictures, though. For all this board hypes monochrome you really have to appreciate the beauty in the color there.

It depends on how you want them to fit. I'm normally a 30 in Levi's but I went for a 32 in the Ace Cash. I wanted them with a slightly wider leg opening (I have large feet) so I got the next size up.

The waist is elasticated so they still fit perfectly fine without a belt.

They make one of the best fitting skinny jeans I've owned, no shitty branding, patches, ugly stitching. Just clean, well cut style at a price that is easily affordable if you're not a scrub and have a job.

Seriously for some nice lighter jeans I just got some blue wash 511s from Levi's for about £40. I've had them for nearly two years (that's long enough for them to even develop fadez) and they've held up fantastically while remaining comfy as fuck. I cuffed them the other day and people thought they were a new pair.

Sure, Ace is a lovely fit and the elastane does make for nice ease of movement but it's not worth £150 just for that.

Okay. Great. I haven't liked any of the washes I've seen in person. Opinions, right? Anyway, I'm hating on the brand because I've been dissatisfied with every pair of jeans I've purchased. The cuts are fine and they have minimal detailing, but so do tons of other brands. And, honestly, compared to a lot of other denim I've seen and worn, Acne denim is cheap; like, mall Levi's cheap. And that's fine, honestly, but not for me, not for $250 dollars. If you're satisfied with your purchases, great. I'm not here to say you dun goofed. I just think there are valid criticisms of the brand.

I bought some Levi 511's last year which cost me £80 retail from the Levi's shop. They didn't quite fit right so I got them tailored which cost me £25.

Then about 6 months in the seam ripped so I had to get them repaired which cost me another £25.

That's £130 in total for some shit Levi's that have been nothing but trouble.

My £150 (£110 in a Liberty sale) fit perfectly off the rail and haven't need alterations or repairs in the time I've owned them.

I wear raws and have worn holes in pairs. The thing about raws is that you need to wash them regularly, otherwise you'll get crotch blowouts and holes behind the knees and in the whiskers and shit.
