it's not a good idea because you might hit your foot when walking around or ankle/knee when laying down. i use a simple wooden board just because the mattress tend to slip around when laid directly on the floor

A minimalist lifestyle is entwined with nature.

It's not just coincidence that Thoreau went to the woods by a lake. It was vital.

Because minimalism is NOT about rejecting things. It's not abstinence or de-cluttering. That would be the amateur's vague 'zen' approach to philosophy yielding no real change or significant benefits.

Rather it's about learning to live more deliberately.

In that way, you have to begin at the source, at what is fundamental, intrinsic, universal and external. In other words, with nature.

From those foundations, and contrary to general assumptions, minimalism is actually about adding things to your life. But adding things that have a marked improvement on your life as a whole rather than just your short term whims and fancies.

Uniqueness is generally nothing to do with it but it sounds like it is in your assessment and that's fine.
That's what minimalism is: an assessment of what's there (simple nature, the land, sea, air, flora, fauna, your body, but also existing developments, structures, property etc) in order accurately determine what needs to be there and make the right interventions.
So it's likely our assessments will be individual and different. Therefore each will be unique. But being unique is not vital to being minimalist. there may be great similarities and patterns between styles.

Didn't really play trumpet. Writing was my sort of expressing one's self. It went on for 2 years, exactly as you described it until one night I finally ended it. The heating tube that I used for hanging wasn't strong enough and soon after I've lost my consciousness it ripped itself from the ceiling. Hot water brought me back. So I slapped. And kicked her. And hit her. Again and again, until trough tears blood she asked me to stop. I told her to shut the fuck up and clean. She curled into an angle continued sobbing. I kept looking her with love-turned-hate in my eyes. She started screaming again so I beat her some more, and threw her out of the apartment. Packed my most necessary shit the very same day and moved to another city. Working in a bar to pay trough my studies. 3 years passed, and I never fell in love with someone like that again. I do have a girlfriend now, and I appreciate her company very much. She doesn't seem to be madly in love of me either, and frankly I don't want her to be. I wish nobody had to feel the intensity of emotions I had for that bitch. I prefer my mellow life of today.

I like the way this room is laid out, but don't care for the actual decor; there's too much glass. White and blue is a decent (if not exactly daring) color scheme. Sub out those glass tables for some light wood, pare down the extraneous vases/bottles in those shelves, and you'd have a shot at a decent room.
