I really like the military/rebel look, but don't know how to execute it properly. I live in a rural part of the US, and think it'll fit in nice especially carrying a gun on me all the time.

Nah, just because it's rural doesn't mean everyone's a redneck. Lots of large mansions, big ranches, etc. Most people just rock NorthFace and Eddie Bauer. Only problem is wildlife killing animals/crops.
