Am I the only one that doesnt roll up jeans and doesn't wear them skinny? I think it looks pretty fucking stupid. Will we look back 10 years from now and be ashamed of doing that (those that do it), kind of like wearing shoulder pads during the heighties, or out of fashion haircuts?

>I dont do X because it will go out of fashion!
Think about what you're saying. I'll give you a clue 'Fashion' is the key word here.

More importantly though, cuffing your jeans/ trousers isn't some new fad. It has it's roots in function and gentlemen wear. You cant compare it to 80's pop-trends like shoulder pads or mullets.

Am I the only one that doesn't care if I look back retrospectively in 10 years and think I wore stupid clothes?

I wear what I (perceive) to look good in right now, not in the future. You're probably doing things on a day to day basis that will be morally reprehensible in a century but so what?

Most people that wore shoulder pads in the eighties don't feel ashamed; they might find it funny or nostalgic to look back on, if anything. It was just part of the identity of an era.

If you want to wear looser jeans that are uncuffed then all power to you. If you like the look of it and it makes you feel good, do it. Don't like the look of skinny jeans? That's easy: don't wear them.

I don't bother with this either, I think both look quite stupid on most guys.
For one it throws the whole silhouette off and makes the body look like a triangle pointing down drawing attention away from the face and makes a mans feet look like he's wearing oversized shoes.
Secondly most guys don't particularly have very nice legs, especially the kind of scrawny guys who usually wear skinnies, stick legs, pancake ass and clown shoes isn't a good look at all.

>> No.8208212

OP if you're not wearing things because you think they'll look stupid later then you're retarded. If you think they look stupid now then don't wear them, go back to dressing like a retard.

>> No.8208247

I just do it because the jeans are too long for me and I can't be arsed getting them taken up

So there we are

Being this insecure that you need to ask for reassurance.

That is completely your decision, I like ricks but not rafs.

I'm tall and thin and cant stand skinny pants. I wear womens wide leg jeans only. Im not really into fashion though.

>> No.8208352

i dont do this shit either, think it looks silly af
sometimes i see a fit with it that looks good but most of the time its just like why

>> No.8208374

I don't roll them up and I don't wear skinnys.

I wear 32/32 slim fit, tapered. Perfect mixture of masculinity and style.

>> No.8208417

cuffing and pinrolling are manlet compensation techniques

cuffing because manlets don't know how to find pants that fit so they just roll up the bottom of the legs until they do.

pinrolling because it breaks up bottom half of the fit and distracts from the shortness of their legs.

cuffing is tryhard manlet mfa core

pinrolling is a way for tryhard manlets to try and look like those guys in japanese streetwear pics and show off their cheap $75 chinese made shoes. pinrolling never looks as good IRL as it does in the pictures.

>>8208256
take pic in this as an example. look at how the fabric all bunches up on the left leg. it just looks goofy and like the pants dont fit in the first place

OP is right but the good thing about rolling up you trousers compared to cropping them is that it's not permanent, you can always roll them back down. The thing is though, people who roll up their trousers look more fashion conscious than those who don't. You might think it looks stupid, but it's those guys who are getting the attention.

>> No.8208435

>>8208417
I'll admit its not a perfect picture but you're absolutely wrong about how all 'manlets' use pinrolling as compensation. I know that the majority might look like fails, but suggestively it isn't too hard to bring your pants to the tailor for fitting...
Pinrolling gives a better silhouette compared to cuffing on some sneakers, and in the end its all up to the aesthetic look.

sure pinrolling looks neat in some cases, but really only works in studio quality camera shots. in real life when you're walking around your pinroll will start to come undone and look sloppy. i see it everyday around town on fuccbois who do dumb shit like pinroll their levis 510s to show off their beat up vans or converse smh

>> No.8208536

When I see someone pinrolling in real life, I think they're trying to fit a certain fashion subculture rather than actually look good.

Like if you saw someone going down the street actually dressed entirely in Rick Owens runway type clothing, or dressing like a gangsta rapper.

>> No.8208557

>>8208536
is there something wrong with that? because in the end we're the ones sitting at home judging/discussing and believing whats right or wrong solely based on personal opinions like OP.

I sometimes cuff but just one fold. Never two. Pinrolling IRL is just lol. Pinrolling might look good in a magazine or with just a shot of the ankle and foot but IRL it looks really silly. It sometimes only looks good on Asians but I always lol when niggers and blacks pinroll.

Of course. Those that do it now will deny this, but so did everyone in the past.
