Not necessarily. As a shoe salesman I know that a lot of people's feet are too different for each other. For example two people who wear a size 10 converse might wear a different size in, say Rick Owens.

It would be much easier for other people to find the correct size to a shoe if they saw that another person wears their same size in other shoes.

shoe sizes are useful for narrowing down prospective sizes to a range of about three, not including half sizes. shit system

Agreed. I wish designers would stop telling consumers to size down and just start tagging their shoes as the correct size. (Ex: Converse clearly states that their shoes are half a size too large, so why call a 10.5 a 10.5 when it should clearly be tagged as a 10?)
