Common projects look like cheap mid 2000s skate shoes.

And the little numbers on the side look like something the Walmart fashion design team would of put on an item around that period in time aswell. Like when cheap t shirt company's would have random number underlayed on graphic tees with a wave bouncing off the top. Lol

Common Projects are nice, understated shoes with an arguably perfect silhouette.

The little serial number on the side shows the designers intent to minimise branding, which clearly payed off, adding to the understated look of the shoe.

I loved these 30 bucks Adidas canvas shoes.
They somehow looked like CP's so I could imagine CP's to be p cool, too.

It's just a basic white sneaker, don't get why you would hate them.

I wasn't a huge fan of Common Projects, but now I kind of like them. Quite simple but nice quality. I wouldn't get them myself but I can understand why so many people like them.
However I was reading an article on BoF:
Turns out Common Projects did not create the sole and silhouette themselves. Like most smaller shoe companies they relied on a private label partnership to produce/design the shoe. I guess they only decided the material, colorway and branding. So everyone praising the clean perfect silhouette might reconsider...

tbh i think thats the reason why cp upped the price, they wanted to remain exclusive. by keeping the price low and selling more they could have made similar if not more profits, they just didnt want to make themselves stale the way other brands have through popularity.
