I fell for the /g/ hype and copped a T60 and a 1440*??? IPS panel and a T61 and I was gonna make a crazy Frankenpad with it and use it forever.

Long story short, IBM Thinkpads are shit now, it's some weird nostalgia thing for old, crusty IT techs who are fervent Christians, express their love for Jesus on internet forums, and probably masturbate to Hanna Montana.

Long story geek, hardware is old heavy clunky slow, the shit's strong but everything wiggles several mm cuz it's made out of whack ass shit. Take it apart and realize that the famed roll cage and interior components are brittle dated shit. Replaceable components? Yeah you can replace cutting edge 100nm for 90nm. The fuck you call that shit, Penryn?

Good if you're old and fat and your annoying obnoxious mongoloid kids jump up and down on your laptop regularly and you can't afford one of those Panasonic bomb things and all you use it for is to look at pics of Hannah Montana anyway.

Also, you're gonna have to trust me, I know a lot about computers and Macbook Pros are among the best hardware-wise. Reason being they got a huge head start on the not-shit-laptop game and everyone else has just managed to catch up.

Unfortunately they're fucking expensive, and all the shit's fucked up. Not to mention the stigma. So steal one or stay away. I don't even know why the fuck I brought it up.
