leather is something where it can actually be preferable to get second-hand, for a couple of reasons.

*it can look a lot better when it's broken-in, so you skip that stage of where it looks its most awkward and shitty.
*you can't get something that retailed for a lot more money than you're paying, instead of shit-tier leather made from dog skins and the binding agent they use in mcnuggets.
*when you realize you look like a faggot and re-sell it or let it rot in your closet you will have not have spent $700-1200.
