Can boots be /fa/?

A good question.

The answer is no.

Unless you are doing something that requires boots. Then take it as /fa/ as you like.

First of, /fa/ really isn't the standard.

Boots, and trekking boots can look good, yes.
It depends on the combination and the specific item, plus you should always dress appropriate to the environmental conditions anyways.

there's this one sloppy, chubby, balding, vulture-faced harpy thing in one of my classes at uni that wore a pair of bright purple pair of 1460s with kmart jeans and a shitty purple v-neck one day.

What sort of boots work well with a job that requires some class and professionalism without being obnoxious? I've got a pair of hiking boots that when people notice them think I'm wearing combat boots and laugh at me. What other choices do I have, just get a pair of generic dark brown steel toe boots?

>> No.8129399

Can you be more specific on your requirements..
and would you need a lugged sole, or a flat sole?
http://www.llbean.com/llb/shop/78205?feat=49464-ppxs&dds=y
on the cheaper end, these arent bad.
just dont have a lugged/aggressive sole, if thats what you need
I cant say anything on all day comfort, but switching out the insoles for some Superfeet ones make help.

Yeah, I'm sort of looking for lugged soles for the extra grip. That and steel toe because of the fact I'll be on the floor in areas that require the same safety equipment as one of the rank and file workers to have in the factory. I don't just plan to wear them at work though, I plan to more or less wear them all the time like my current pair of boots.

It's just that I purchased them because they felt solid and made in the US of A. Plus reviews on sites like Amazon say they're an amazing boot brand which is why I went out and purchased them. A little more expensive than I would have liked for a pair of boots but if they last I'm okay with it.

Yeah, I was looking for something functional as I wore out my old Coleman Hiking boots (pic related) a lot earlier than I was expecting. The Orthotics place that made my father's custom orthoses said I should try out the local Red Wing shop down the street for great functional boots and I went there. Was quite unexpected to have a guy measuring my foot and the pressure points sorting through boots and lacing them on to see how I thought of the pairs he suggested.

You're referring to the Iron Ranger ones aren't you? I don't follow clothing brands or styles but I did see those boots.

Looking at waterproof and insulated boots then if you want them for winter. I've seen cheap boots that will get you through the winter and not much further for $25 while I've seen boots run to $250. Depends on how serious you are with the idea of using boots. I used a hiking boot when I started with not much ankle support that was more or less a glorified hi top sneaker and now I'm using a mix between a hiking and a work boot.

red wings are great boots. I'm fully satisfied with the quality of mine, so if you like the look of yours keep them. what model did you buy?

people on here just don't like them because they aren't edgy/hypebeast enough. but if you're gonna spend a decent amount on a quality boot I'd say red wings are a good choice, you don't want something edgy that'll be unwearable by next winter
