You've got it right there. Next most common would be a pair of rubbery flip flops, then white canvas shoes even more rarely.

These. They look ok with a dress, I can walk/bike in them, they aren't too warm and keep my feet from getting gross and dusty.

If anyone has any suggestions of what to wear with dresses I'm open.

if it's not hot enough to wear shorts, you could easily wear canvas shoes instead of sandals tbh

Ballerina flats don't stay on my feet. They fall off when I walk.

I really don't see any need for name calling.

Here's my ideal summer footwear 2K14
>MBMJ mouse flats with a rubber sole in black patent
already own
>Salvatore Ferragamo Varas in black
already own
>Acne pistols in Sand, a beautiful buttery nude colour
realistically I can't afford them this summer because I'm travelling
>Superga Cotus in pink
I'll order them soon
>Bloch Arabian flats in Atmosphere, a taupey colour
I order a new pair every spring, I'm still wearing last year's now
>these Margiela 2K11 distressed pumps
already own
>either of these pairs of Zara sandals, leaning toward the cutout moccassin although the wannabe Birks are nice too. I'm only buying one pair because I'm not spending $200 on shoes from Zara in one season
I'll choose in a few weeks when I go to a town with a Zara
>Wildfox Jeffrey Campbell Dallases (super easy to walk in and high enough for any occasion).
already own

Yeah, they're just elasticated so they stretch over your heel so they don't fall off like >>8122383
mentioned. When you just get them, the toe sticks up a bit, but it's not uncomfortable. Ever since I started wearing Bloch's leather soled flats, I can't wear non-elasticated flats anymore.

And yeah, I'm on the edge about them because they're a bit chunky but I think they'd balance out flimsy black summer dresses really well.

>> No.8122556

>>8122540
Gotta try them then! I had some elasticated flats but they gave me terrible blisters and I was never able to wear them for more than a couple of hours at a restaurant or something.

yes, the blisters are bad for the first few days (I just wear those clear bandaids the first few times I wear shoes) but some nicer flats (Lanvin, Chanel, Repetto, even Delman sometimes) line the inner heel bit with suede so it's comfier and softer and slip around less. Hopefully you find the perfect flats for you :)

Same thing every evening after wearing them. Clean the mesh with a tooth brush. Gotta keep em fresh.

Only the mesh get's dirty though. Rest of the shoe remains the whitest of whites. Can't deal with that.

Eh,just showing a bit of care for some delicate shoes. That pragmatic trashing your shoes trying to enforce some 2 cool & rich 2 care persona (quoting 'how to be /fa/' thread ), now that's just a bit silly imo.

yeah, alright. but having cleaning the shoes scheduled for every day feels a bit too much.
i personally keep away from white mesh on shoes because it's a pain to clean if you'd get them dirty. even with say white leather you can typically just swipe away most dirt.

>>8122668
Yeah, i'm with you on that. Didn't anticipate it. Got a pair of Am 90's in all leather to wear for everyday stuff. Wipe with a damp cloth, and zim. Brand new.

I'm using all year round shoes I purchased back in December, I love them and wear them all the time as their comfy as fuck. However I've noticed that when I step in them, one shoe is perfectly fine while the other is making a sort of puff sound when I step down on it? The strange thing is that it almost always happens only on indoor floors when I can hear the puffing noise but outside like the grass or on concrete there is no puffing sound at all. I've never had this happen before so I ask here: What do I do to stop this annoying puffing noise when I step?
