Hey /fa/, just signed my lease for a new studio apartment.

It's a renovated and revitalized ice factory, it'll have original brick walls, apoxyed concrete floors and concrete columns in the unit. Very industrial feel.

Pic related is the current state, should be done in August.

Post industrial furniture/room inspo for some decorating ideas!

Also general /fa/ interior design thread.

yoooo thats gonna look dope. im an archie majore, super interested to see the end product. cool thing about industrial look is that any raw/rough cut wood furniture looks good and is easily made by hand. find yourself some railroad ties and make a bedfram and coffee table or some shit.

Awesome! There's a railroad track that runs right behind the building so I'll scavenge for some ties.

I'll definitely be posting the finished product in August so keep on the look out!

I would look in small towns/cities with a "historic downtown". There are usually efforts to restore/revitalize abandoned historic buildings, especially if the city has a hand in financing part of the renovations.

The goal with The Icehouse is to economically revitalize downtown Harrisonburg,VA which I'm proud to be a part of. The developers of this building already made apartments/retail space out of an abandoned warehouse and attached bread factory.
